One person injured in shooting at Washington County Fair

Fayetteville police said one person was injured in a shooting incident at the Washington County Fair Friday night.Sgt. Tony Murphy with the Fayetteville Police Department said officers responded around 10:30 pm Washington County Deputies were already at the location when the incident occurred, because they were providing security for the event. Officers found one victim. They rendered first aid and transported that person to a local hospital. The injuries were not life-threatening. Sgt. Murphy told 40/29 News there was an altercation between two parties and a gun was pulled out. “It was an isolated incident,” Sgt. Murphy said. “It was not a random act of violence.”Sgt.
