JOHN Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler’s divorce ends roughly four months after the actor submitted the application after his short stay in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
The comic was registered at a facility in December 2020 after a relapse.
TMZ broke the news on Thursday, citing a legal filing.
The divorce was finalized in New York City, according to the outlet.
John and Anna Marie got married in July 2014.
The couple left him in October 2020, two months before John voluntarily entered rehab.
They had no children together.
It is not clear, according to TMZ reports, if there was a prenuptial agreement.
Although the couple’s marriage only legally ended on Thursday, they have done so for several months.
Shortly after he and Anna Marie announced their separation, John was linked to Olivia Munn.
He confirmed their relationship during a television appearance in September, announcing that she was pregnant with their child.
John revealed during the appearance, “In the spring, I went to Los Angeles, and I met and began dating a wonderful woman named Olivia – Olivia Munn.
“And we’re going to have a baby together … I’m going to be a dad. We are both very, very happy.”
TMZ exclusively confirmed that Olivia gave birth to their son, Malcom Hiêp Mulaney, on November 24.
The baby is a first for both John and Olivia.
John checked into a Pennsylvania rehab facility for 60 days of treatment in December 2020.
He was treated for addiction to cocaine and alcohol.
After going through rehab, Page Six reported that John filed for divorce from his wife.
Although he applied in February, he did not officially submit it until July.
Anna released a statement through a spokesperson, saying: “It hurts my heart that John has decided to end our marriage.
“I wish him support and success in his recovery.”
John was open with fans about his fight against addiction.
He said at the time: “I didn’t want an intervention. At that time, I wanted to keep using drugs.
“Sitting here tonight, I am very grateful to you and everyone who is there for saving my life.
“You guys saved me from drugs and Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself and this early recovery journey. I don’t have a joke for that.”
