NO DATE (AP) – Bennedict Mathurin had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Kerr Kriisa added 17 points and No. 11 Arizona dominated Wyoming in the first half of a 94-65 victory. The Wildcats continued their streak of overwhelming opponents, suffocating the Cowboys on the defensive end to set up easy baskets in transition for a late 31-point halftime. Arizona shot 53%, hit 11 3-pointers and had 23 assists for its sixth win of at least 25 points this season. The Wildcats also held a 26-point lead in the paint and nine steals, while scoring 19 points from Wyoming’s 14 turnovers. Xavier DuSell had 22 points and Graham Ike 17 to lead the Cowboys.
BEREKLEY, Calif. (AP) – Andre Kelly scored 12 points and Lars Thiemann added 12 off the bench as California opened the scoring in the second half en route to a 72-46 victory over Idaho State. Jordan Shepherd scored 11 points and Grant Anticevich scored 10 with 10 rebounds. Daxton Carr’s 3-pointer in the first minute of the second half brought Idaho State to 31-28, but Cal took control with a 17-2 run in five minutes and led 48-30 with 13:06 to play. The Bengals went scoreless from the 3:55 p.m. to 10:50 p.m. mark, missing seven shots. Robert Ford III scored 11 points for Idaho St.
PULLMAN, Washington (AP) – Noah Williams scored 17 points, Mouhamed Gueye had his first double-double and Washington State gave Weber State its first loss of the season, 94-60. Gueye had 14 points with 10 rebounds. Ty Roberts scored his only free throw for the Cougars, giving him 24 in a row to start his career, tying Klay Thompson for the WSU record. Weber State, one of 12 undefeated teams to start the day, scored seven in a row, closing in 26-23 on Dillon Jones’ three-point play at 3:01, but the Cougars closed the half up 9-1. to go up 35 -24. Jones led the Wildcats with 16 points
BOULDER, Colorado (AP) – Jabari Walker scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Colorado narrowly avoided Eastern Washington’s offense with a 60-57 victory over the Eagles. Walker missed 3 of 4 free kicks in the final 13 seconds and Colorado held a three-point margin. Steele Venters missed a direct 3-point attempt for Eastern Washington as time ran out. Colorado led 39-31 at halftime, and after Evan Battey’s jump shot with 14:28 to play gave the Buffs a 47-38 lead. Eastern Washington picked up momentum with a 17-4 outburst over the next 10 minutes. Venters finished with 23 points on 5 of 11 shooting from 3-point range.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – Mike Miles equaled his career high with 28 points and TCU defeated Utah 76-62. Emanuel Miller and JaKobe Coles added 10 points each for the Horned Frogs. Miles also had eight rebounds and four assists. Branden Carlson and Both Gach each had 16 points for the Runnin ‘Utes. TCU shot 45% from the field and held a 43-33 rebounding advantage, but Utah, who shot 34%, was 21 of 25 from the foul line for a 10-point lead. The game took place at a neutral site, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
