Amazon TV series based on Fall The video games will go into production this year. Term Y Variety report that Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) will be the showrunners of the project; the official Fall Twitter account retweeted TermThe story by way of confirmation.
The Prime Video program will be produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, creators of Westworld. Bethesda Game Studios ‘Todd Howard and Bethesda Softworks’ James Altman are also on board as executive producers. Nolan will direct the first episode, according to Term Y Variety.
The show was first announced in July. “Fall is one of the best game series of all time, “said Joy and Nolan in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter at that time. “Each chapter of this incredibly imaginative story has cost us countless hours that we could have spent with family and friends. So we are incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant crazy people at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive and darkly fun universe to life with Amazon Studios. “
The Fall Video games are post-apocalyptic role-playing games set in an alternate future inspired by post-war imagery of the 1950s America. Bethesda acquired the rights to the series in 2004 and released Fallout 3 in 2008. The most recent main game, Fallout 4, came out in 2015, while the multiplayer spin-off Fallout 76 was launched in 2018. There are no upcoming Fall Titles have been announced, but future games in the series will likely be exclusive to the Xbox and PC platforms due to Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda.
